Christmas 25/12/11

I didn't do much because i have to save some money for my future but still as I have a guest over from Thailand, I had to prepared some food for her. I invited her and her daughter to come but unfortunately the daughter couldn't made it so We did a very simple foods for her. I made a spinach pie which I like and a grilled salmon as well as stir ed fried vegetable with prawn. We had some wine but as we're not a drinker so we had only a glass each and then some fruits after that.
actually, I don't very care much about Christmas but it was good that the road or very things was very quiet that was the main thing that I liked.

The next day,, I was stayed at home all day as the Londoner and the tourist gone out to do a sale on the Boxing day.. I wasn't careless as I had to think about the coming year..
anyway,,, Christmas comes and gone.. now... bye Santa see you next year on December 25..

Cambridge before Christmas day

Cambridge not Venice
new hooddy for a tourist in town
my relative she wanted to visit Cambridge so I took her and her daughter for a day trip and the traffic was brilliants as the people are gone home and get ready for their Christmas for the next day.
so again, the weather up in the north was very cold and my guest didn't ware enough clothes so the mother has to buy a jumper to keep herself warm otherwise she has to keep going in to shops and shops to get some warm heat from inside.
we walked around town and the punter kept came in to asked us for the tour guide in town or for the boat ride along the canal, the price for the boat ride quite expensive and the important thing is the weather was too cold to sit on the boat.. so we decided not to take any and at the end we has lunch at the Italian restaurant in town and we was order pizza and pasta and a salad..
3 generations
We left Cambridge at about 3pm. and arrived back in London about 4.30pm.

A day trip to Brighton and Peachy head

Brighton
Peachy Head in Eastbourn
On Sunday 18 I took my guest to Brighton to visit on of the Thai lady who is living there but before that I took them to visited Peachy Head in Eastbourn before as they never been there and I just wanted for them too see the seaside in England. The day we went there was very windy and cold so we couldn't stayed outside for a very long as the temperature was freezing. we took some photos and had some hot drinks and cake before heading to Brighton about 1.30pm.
At Brighton we had alot of our country foods but fortunately we had some cake before we got there so we was rather full but my guests and the host family was very happy.
We left Brighton about 6pm. and we couldn't see much of it because it was raining and dark but at least we in the car so we don't have to worry about it.

Peachy Head
I was very happy to see the host family and I bought them some present which was a plant..

My foods and Where are they came from?

I just got back from a Sunday trip shopping at Sainsbury's, normally I don't buy too much because I don't have space for a small fridge.  I live conveniently to shops  like Lidle, Tesco, Asda and Aldi. Normally, I do my shopping for fruits at East Street Market, the market has been there for a very long time and served well for the local and  the migrants. the market has reminded me of my country market, sometimes I can get a very cheap deal too.

Here all my foods from my shopping basket today and where are they came from?

Sainsbury's Flavouripe tomatoes, This packed of tomato grown in Canary Island and cost £ 1.25

Packed of Sainsbury's Grapes, This  grown in Italy..

Pak Choi This origin grown in Spain

This is a Scottish Salmon Fillets: origin from Loch Linnhe

a packed of Babycorn and Mange tout, This is grown in Namdhari, India and Athos, Peru.

I like to eat fresh and healthy foods and I prefer buy vegetable and fish as well as fruits. I don't like apple as much  as I think they are tasteless.

foods and drinks on 11/11/11

Today is Friday 11/11/11. I woke up at 6.00 and started my day with a cup of coffee with milk.

I had my lunch at about mid day with my home cooking. I made a spicy cucumber salad with chillie, lime, tomato and fish sauce. I also had a fried chicken that I bought from Tesco the previous day  and some sticky rice.

I had a cup of earl gray tea in the afternoon with milk and  a walnut cup cake which I bought from Asda for my dessert.

Later on, I had a cup latte as well.

An hour later I had sharron fruit  for my snack which I bought from East Street market today.

My dinner, I had grilled cheese and a Greek style salad with some bread. The salad was a home made by my partner. He made from cucumber, tomato, avacado and some spring onion mixed with olive oil.

I finished off with a glass of Chardoney.
Have a peaceful day 11/11/11

The music that I like

I like pop music because I like the excitement of the rhythm. I don't very mind mostly depended on my mood example in the morning the music should be not too exciting but just keep me up, in the afternoon my music should stimulating my energy to wake up and in the evening the music should be soft and sleepy and as I wanted to be relax at home.
The band that I like is " The Eagles" because the are cool band in my generation. The song is Hotel California because the lyrics is so catching and the tune, it's made me want to dance.
The music that I am listening to at the moment is Adele because I like her voice. I think she so sweet and seems very nice girl.
I have been to the Musical " Rock of ages" which they plays alot of music that I known and the good things that I can singalong and dance with  the cast. I enjoyed very..

"Hotel California"On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair
Warm smell of colitas, rising up through the air
Up ahead in the distance, I saw shimmering light
My head grew heavy and my sight grew dim
I had to stop for the night
There she stood in the doorway;
I heard the mission bell
And I was thinking to myself,
'This could be Heaven or this could be Hell'
Then she lit up a candle and she showed me the way
There were voices down the corridor,
I thought I heard them say...

Welcome to the Hotel California
Such a lovely place (Such a lovely place)
Such a lovely face
Plenty of room at the Hotel California
Any time of year (Any time of year)
You can find it here

Her mind is Tiffany-twisted, she got the Mercedes Benz
She got a lot of pretty, pretty boys she calls friends
How they dance in the courtyard, sweet summer sweat.
Some dance to remember, some dance to forget

So I called up the Captain,
'Please bring me my wine'
He said, 'We haven't had that spirit here since nineteen sixty nine'
And still those voices are calling from far away,
Wake you up in the middle of the night
Just to hear them say...

Welcome to the Hotel California
Such a lovely place (Such a lovely place)
Such a lovely face
They livin' it up at the Hotel California
What a nice surprise (what a nice surprise)
Bring your alibis

Mirrors on the ceiling,
The pink champagne on ice
And she said 'We are all just prisoners here, of our own device'
And in the master's chambers,
They gathered for the feast
They stab it with their steely knives,
But they just can't kill the beast

Last thing I remember, I was
Running for the door
I had to find the passage back
To the place I was before
'Relax,' said the night man,
'We are programmed to receive.
You can check-out any time you like,
But you can never leave!'

Havana, Cuba 2010

We bought a package tour from Virgin for a week in Havana. We were staying at the best hotel in Havana called " The National".. I felt very my self very luck to be there because people over there they don't have many choices to get.
I love the music though as I think there is more fun to dance with..

Mt. Etna, Sicily

I went to Sicily in summer 2009. We were staying at a very nice hotel but very far from city centre. We heired a car for a week to travel around the Island. We  went up to climed the Mt. Etna and it was smazing as the vocano still warm and the smelled of lava was very bad and also very windy and cold as well. We have to get there to the top very quick and can't stay for too long as we can not breath for the air.
We enjoyed very much as the food was very easy to get and not too expensive. We difinately going back again sometime.. I would recommended to everyone should go there as the weather, the food, the sea and the people..

Bloomsbury Festival

I stopped at Russell Square Park to have a sneak peak at the Bloomsbury Festival which was holding at Russell Square park today. There was a lot of people, and food stalls.
There was a live African music band playing and the music was quite enjoyable to listening and to dance to.
The weathere was cold but to as cold if I could compare to the real winter. I was there until the band stopped playing that was about 7.20pm. There will be one more day tomorrow so I might go there again as the weather for tomorrow going to be nicer than today..

Holiday

Corfu was my last holiday this year. I love the weathere but with clear blue sky and the mediteranien sea. I was there for a week. I was staying at the house that doesn't have an air conditioning.
We hired a car for a few day to keep us convenient to travel around the Island.
I went for swimming in the afternoon as the weathere was so hot and also we did some snorning. We went to Poxos for a day trip and the sea was very beautiful and warm. We had hired a boat for a day but We have to come back to Corfu as we have to fly back to London in the evening.
I love Greek foods especially octopus and greek salad.
I definately going back over there again sometime but not too soon.
hope to see you in my next trip!!!
