Oscar Wilde

During my evening class last week. My teacher Milagros has given us the work sheet of Oscar Wilde. I thought this man is one of the famous actors in the past. I never even read his books. My teacher kindly told us after our work done. We have to answer the truth or false about him. My Italian and Spanish classmates were the best because they had learn his books when they were at school back home in their counties.

For me, I never knew who was Charles Dickens or Oscar Wilde. I had learn from what I hear from television during Christmas for Charles Dickens.
I preferred to write about Oscar Wilde because I think his life is unusual and well as extraordinary life.

I was amazed though about people from history they seem very cleaver. I think the good things of people over here are that they have more opportunity to study to learn new things.

In Thailand, I don’t think people like to read the books as much. I supposed because first of all we don't have a public library for community, even in Bangkok, the capital: I was living there for 20 years and never seen the public library. The books are very expensive to buy. The people are too busy to do their work ( the villages). The local has only ideas that why you have to read, we’re from the third world and still under development so that why people don’t enjoy much as over here.

What made me write a blog about Oscar Wilde today? I was watching one of his works last night. Dorian Gray was on film 4. I was curious by the story of the lead role in the film. This morning I went out to check if there any books from his work in the library. I went to Peckham library but sadly I couldn't find any books under his name. The library has some but someone else has borrowed it.

Today is Sunday so there are not many libraries open. As my teacher said we should read some of his works because he so clever that why I wanted to read. I might check out again later this week so I can read during my Easter holiday break.

I understand that I need to improve my English by read a lot of novel especially the classics. Today, I am trying to write everything in my blog if I have time so I could practise my English by writing as well as reading.

I do enjoy writing something more creative as my teacher spoke to me during my class. She told me that I need to be more patient and always proofread what you have written on your work. I told her that I am going to do more writing and  proofread after my work.

Reonewda's opinion about Morley

Reonewda decided to come to Morley college because she is enjoy it. She told me that she don't have to go out if she taking her class.
She also want to improve her English as well.

About Miragros, She is clever, funny and very good teacher. Reonewda is enjoy being at hers class.
The class, she has learn a lot but she said she is too shy.
The exam, Reonewda said she not going to take it because she is not ready to do the the exam.

Time Banking

Time banking is the time you will give to your communities: which could be what ever you good at it.

I don’t very know that the moment here in my community has set up Time Banking. I am thinking people in my community they are prefer stay away from your neighbour as much as possible. I have a next-door neighbour but this man he lives alone. I don’t think he is working though and the house he is living in belong either housing association or council. I also very busy with my work and I don’t think I will be able give my time to help community.

 I think if people living in the village, they might be able to do so because they will have more time than the big city.

I think living in London: people don’t trust the other, as now they just think about themselves more than other.

my Morley

I came to Morley college because first of all I have more time than before. I used to work at a restaurant as a waitress and also working during the night. I felt tired after all. I have quitted a restaurant work since last September. A few weeks after, I started to looking for some classes to improve my English. I was looking for somewhere which close to my house as I think its better for me to travel.
I picked Morley College because very easy to get to and get back after school. I enjoyed very much because I made a lot of friends from difference countries.

Miragros, she is very helpful and very fun to be with because she so nice and very fun.

The class, I have learnt a lot of from the class and I think I gained my confident in the class as well as my ability to do a presentation in front of many people. I understand that I need to start working harder.

Timmy's story

Timmy is an only son of a Diplomatic father. They live in a very expensive area in London. He’s only 17 years old.

One evening, Timmy just arrived home from school, his father called him in to the living room and telling him that the family is going to re-locate to other part of the world. His father has been informed to get a new position in Thailand.

Timmy was very excited about moving to other country. He thinks that there will be a new experience for the family.

As they settle down to the new environment in Thailand. The family is trying to adjust to their new life. The people seem very nice and friendly. The weather is better than in England of course and the foods is fantastic.

Timmy is going to an international school in Bangkok, which all student and teacher speak and teach in English. He has made a few friends since he has been moved to Bangkok. Timmy likes to hang out with them and sometimes he stayed later. His father doesn’t like this, one night when Timmy arrived home, his father has gave him a curfew that from now on he has to come home before 9.00 pm. Timmy doesn’t like the ideas so they argued on the night. Timmy run away from the big argument and went out for a drink with is a friend.

As the night went on Timmy and his friends went in to the bar and found an attractive girl in the bar. They chatting her up. Timmy very likes the girl but she couldn’t speak English but his friend tries to do a translation to her. She got confused and says good night to them. Timmy says sorry to the girl and accounted for such a problems.

She gave him her mobile number and say good night to him. Timmy and his friends drinking until closing time, they stopped of at 7 eleven shop which open 24 hours a day to get some food to take home. While they was waiting at the till suddenly Timmy saw a girl they met in the bar earlier. She was added a bottle of milk in to her grocery list. Timmy apologized to her for being rude to her in the bar and asked her if she need any help? She has done her shopping and walking to get her car. Timmy was walking back to his friend but he has to stop because he was hearing her voice asked for help. Timmy running to try to stop the thief but he couldn’t so he called the police but police couldn’t understand any English. They handed the phone over to speak to interpreter, and arranged for an interpreter to be presented the scene. The interpreter has agreed with the police to come with them.

At the crime scene, the police has to interview with the eye witness about with had happened. Timmy has given all his has witness to the police, the interpreter translated to them. The police told him that they going to be a witness in court later. Timmy agreed with them. The police caught the thief later on that night.

He arrived at home very later that night. He father asked him that if he could stop at electronic store to buy a new microwave. The next day after the long bad night, he stopped at PC world to buy a new microwave for the family. The sale assistant had helped him with the best microwave and the all comes a year guarantee. Timmy asked about a return policy if something break down, the sale assistant said no problems at all, all products has return policy’s any time within a year. Timmy agreed on the sale assistant had recommended to him so he bought it.

The family has settle very well in Thailand. Timmy has finished his study and looking to find a good job in Thailand. He has met a young beautiful local girl and fell in love with her. He asked his parents for approved of the marriage; the parents wanted him to find a job before so he agreed with them.

Timmy finally has a job as a teacher. He teaching English with a private school.

He has variety of student at all ages. He was asking them to do the test one day and one of student has caught cheating on the test. He asked her why she did it? She said because she doesn’t want to get a very low mark that why. Timmy told all of student not to cheat.

The girl say sorry to him, she told him that her real age as she confronted to him.

Thailand has a long conflict with Cambodia about the Temper. The nation has appealed to the UN for assistance about it. The nation is still waiting for the result in the coming month.
